Help with File Uploading

File uploading is a superior service offered by tgWedding. When uploading files it's very important to pay attention to two things:

  1. size of your image
  2. format of your image

Size of Your Image:
Is your image too large to upload? Download an image resize tool here.

The size of your image can also be found by right clicking on the file or image on your computer. Size is in pixels. Let's explain further using an analagy. Imagine the shape of placemat. It has a rectangular shape with width and height measured in inches. Typically, the width is larger than the height. The placemat is just like an image. An image also has a width and height. However, in the computer world they're measured in pixels.

An image's width and height in pixels is called its "resolution". If an image has a resolution of 600x400 it has a width of 600 pixels and a height of 400 pixels. Size is also measured in kB or MB. Typically, you can find the size of your file in this format by right clicking on the file. Some sections of tgWedding have a limit on the size, in kB or MB, of the file you can upload.

Format of Your Image:
For almost every photo upload on tgWedding, the file you're uploading needs to be in the JPEG format. This means that the file you're uploading must have an extension of .jpg or .jpeg or the upload tool will not allow it to upload. You can check the format of your image by right clicking on the image or file on your computer and selecting "properties". Typically, the file uploading will not accept windows bitmaps (.bmp extension) or GIF files (.gif extension).
